Catching Up

So I've been absent for awhile, and honestly, it's because I've just been too busy sewing!  I've taken an online class by Jenny from the Missouri Star Quilt Co.  I've learned a lot of techniques and patterns, and I can already tell a big difference in the quality of my finished projects!  My seams are straight and more often than not, I'm getting perfect corners!  Now, I'm not anywhere near perfect, by any means, but I'm getting the hang of it. :)

Let's get on to the fun stuff!  I wanted to show you what I've been doing to catch you up.  I have some fun things I'm working on and planning, including some of my own designs!  So, watch out for some upcoming tutorials. :)

Anyway, here's what I have completed so far...

This is my very first totally completed project!  It's the disappearing 9-patch I made from Rachel Griffith's tutorial.  It's so pretty and matches my kitchen beautifully.

I love this...it may be my favorite so far.  I used a Cider Mill Road charm pack and some remnant fabric for the borders.  I gave this to my mother to keep her lap warm this winter. :)

This was my first blanket-sized quilt I started but it's the most recent project completed.  This is for my darling 9 year old daughter.  She loves it and has been carrying it out to the living room to snuggle.  Puts a smile on my face! I'm so glad she likes it!

I also am working on a set of Asian-inspired placemats, a quilt for my bed, and some other table runners.  Can't wait to show you what's coming!

That's all for today...be blessed.

Next up!

With machine issues being sorted, I finished my table runner quilt top and have started another projected to keep the momentum going.  I don't want to risk waiting and losing my drive.

I've decided to make a small quilt, using the disappearing 9-patch.  I've chosen some fun fabric here:

I love the red and the patterns will look great in our living room!
