Next up!

With machine issues being sorted, I finished my table runner quilt top and have started another projected to keep the momentum going.  I don't want to risk waiting and losing my drive.

I've decided to make a small quilt, using the disappearing 9-patch.  I've chosen some fun fabric here:

I love the red and the patterns will look great in our living room!

Announcing - My First Project!

The last few days I've been looking at my resources and searching free patterns for a good first project.  I have some leftover fabrics from my mother and I originally thought that maybe a scrap quilt would be a good first start.  I like the look of scrap quilts, especially strips and I found this one

I have wanted to quilt for years.  The brilliant colors, the patterns, and the amazing designs that tell a story.  I can remember being a small girl and running my hands over my grandmother's quilts, following the delicate stitches and wondering how she did it!

So I've always had this fascination with quilts, but I've always thought it had to be one of those things
